Humanitarian: Orphanages and Nutrition Program
LEM has a nutrition program that provides food for anyone who is in need. The LEM/Rebecca Orphange currently feeds and supplies all the day-to-day needs of approximately 22 children, with more coming each day. Many of the children were simply brought to the orphanage by a parent who could not or would not provide for the child. Others are victims of the Civil War in Liberia, left with no family to support them. Rebecca, the orphanage's director, and two other full-time assistants care for the children. We encourage you to consider sponsoring one of these beautiful children of God. For $15 per month, you become a sponsor to feed and educate one orphan. The orphanage is also in need of children's/infant clothing, formula, cloth diapers, bedding and toys. But shipping costs are so prohibitive that we encourage monatary donations directly to the orphanage in order for these items to be purchased in Liberia. We are praying to received funds to build a permanent 80,000 square foot Child Care Home.
