LEM has begin a formal school to teach basic literacy in reading, writing, sciences and mathematics in a Christian value-based environment. Currently a literacy program is being developed to teach people to read the Bible in their own local dialect.
LEM will provide formal training to those wishing to become ministers. Students of the Bible Institute will be taught through direct reading of scripture. Emphasis will be placed on keeping the Word of God pure while bringing it into meaningful context for local people. The Institute will also teach how to use various resources such as multimedia tools and how to prepare sermons and presentations. Graduates of the Bible Institute will be prepared to pursue higher education or to return to their own villages and towns as spiritual leaders for their communities. LEM hopes to maintain future relationships with its graduates.
